Dr. Veronica Gomez is a board-certified optometrist who has joined Loh Ophthalmology Associates and is practicing at our location in Miami, Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill then went on to earn her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. Dr. Gomez was awarded the Pioneer Primary Care Award in 2020.
Following optometry school, Dr. Gomez completed her residency training at the Miami Veteran Affairs Hospital, located in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Gomez is experienced in the treatment and management of ocular conditions including dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and corneal disorders. She performs several in office procedures including TearCare, Lipiflow, Prokera membranes, Blephex, punctal plugs, and more. She has also been involved in several research studies performed at Loh Ophthalmology including the SAHARA study and with Aperta Biosciences.
Dr. Gomez remains active in local and national associations and has been on the board of the Miami Dade Optometric Physicians Association since 2022.
Dr. Gomez loves spending time with her husband Alex and their dog Kona. While not at work they love to play pickle ball and find local eateries and breweries to enjoy together.
